Built from the close, not from estimates
The charts are computed from actual budget data — settled envelopes in closed months and the running ledger of the open one. Nothing is estimated, smoothed, or typical.
By envelope, by month
The primary cut is the envelope: how much each job actually spent, against what was planned. The second cut is time: how the same envelopes move across months, so a trend is visible before it becomes a problem.
A picture you can act on
The point of the chart is not to look at it — it is to notice the envelope that is drifting, and move money while the month is still open. The chart is the reason for the transfer.
