One budget, several people
Invite the people you share money with. Everyone works in the same months, the same funds, the same numbers — there is no second book to keep in sync, because there is only one book.
One month, three states. No jargon: here is exactly how a budget moves through Our Konomy — from the draft you plan, to the open month you live in, to the closed month that becomes history.
Every month in Our Konomy is in one of three states, and the state decides what you can do with it.
A draft month is a plan, not a record. Set your income, your articles, your amounts — before anything is spent. Nothing in a draft touches real data, so you can change everything until it feels right.
An open month is your working spreadsheet: every income, expense, transfer and adjustment you add lands here. While a month is open, anything you entered by hand can still be edited or deleted — the record stays yours to correct.
Closing settles every envelope, computes the carry-over into the next month, and locks the record. Closed months are immutable: they are the truth your family's history is built on, and nothing you do later changes them.
A household budget is not a private diary. Our Konomy is built for the people you live with — and it keeps the power where it belongs.

Owner, admin, member or viewer: your partner may run the whole thing, a roommate may just record their own spending, and a guest can look at the numbers without touching a cent.
People get in through a one-time invitation tied to a role — never a shared password. If someone leaves, you revoke the access, and the budget stays exactly as it was.
Paper receipts stop being a chore when the pipeline is this short: photograph, review, confirm.
Point your camera at the receipt. That is the entire first step.
The engine reads amounts, dates and line items into a structured draft. You see every line before anything is saved — and you can edit any of them.
Nothing enters your budget until you confirm. The confirmed receipt becomes a normal expense in the open month — recorded, clean, and part of the close.
Zero-based budgeting sounds like a course. It is really a handful of ideas you can hold in your head. These guides cover each one — plainly, with real numbers you can follow.
